President and CEO
Bio:
Geoff Ballotti is the president and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchisor with ~9,200 hotels spanning 25 brands, all united by the industry’s #1 rated loyalty program, Wyndham Rewards. Under his leadership, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts makes hotel travel possible for all.
Appointed in 2018, Ballotti led Wyndham’s transformation into a pure-play hotel company following its spin-off from predecessor Wyndham Worldwide. In the years since, he’s significantly strengthened the Company’s leading presence in the economy and midscale segments—integrating brands like La Quinta by Wyndham—while strategically expanding the upper end of its global portfolio, launching brands like Wyndham Alltra and Registry Collection Hotels.
Most recently, Ballotti is credited with turning Wyndham into a key player in the booming extended-stay segment, following the introduction of ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham—now the industry’s fastest-growing, new construction brand—and later WaterWalk by Wyndham.
Prior to his current role, Ballotti served as president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group under the former Wyndham Worldwide, and before that, as president and CEO of Wyndham Exchange & Rentals, the global leader in vacation exchange and the world’s largest professionally managed vacation rentals destination business across Europe and the United States. He first joined Wyndham in 2008.
Earlier in his career, Ballotti spent nearly 20 years in various leadership positions at Starwood Hotels & Resorts both in the U.S. and in Europe, including serving as president of Starwood North America where he led the 65,000 associates of the owned, managed and franchised St. Regis, Luxury Collection, Westin, Le Meridien, W and Sheraton hotel brands. In Europe, he served as Managing Director, Ciga SpA, Italy which operated storied hotels such as The Gritti Palace and The Hotel Danieli in Venice. Earlier in his career, he was a Banking Officer in the Commercial Real Estate Group at the Bank of New England.
Ballotti serves on the Executive Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association Board. He previously served as Chairman of the U.S. Travel Association and on the Executive Committee of the American Resort & Development Association. He also served on the board of directors for Christel House International, a not-for-profit organization supporting impoverished children throughout the world. Ballotti holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and a master’s degree from Harvard Business School.
He is based in the Company’s Parsippany headquarters and resides with his wife in Long Valley, N.J.
