Bio:
Rachael Sery is a Managing Director and National Head of Capital Markets Operations at George Smith Partners, where she drives firmwide strategy across technology, talent, training, and operational infrastructure during a period of accelerated growth. In this expanded leadership role, she is responsible for strengthening GSP's competitive positioning and deepening the firm's value proposition to clients nationwide.
Rachael is also an active originator and execution lead on debt and equity placements across the country, with particular depth in structured and specialty finance — including EB-5, tax credit programs, and back-leverage structures. She has arranged over $5 billion in total project capitalizations spanning the full capital stack, structuring creative financing solutions for large-scale development or comprehensive repositioning, and complex transactions that demand institutional-caliber execution. A recognized hospitality finance specialist, she serves as GSP's senior resource for hotel and wellness capitalizations and maintains deep relationships across the institutional lending and equity landscape in that sector.
Prior to rejoining GSP, Rachael honed her capital markets expertise at JLL's debt and equity placement group, where she executed transactions alongside institutional clients and developed fluency in cross-border capital flows and market-cycle strategy. She launched her career at a buyside advisory firm, consulting on hundreds of commercial acquisitions concentrated in net-leased retail and industrial assets.
Rachael brings a rare combination of operational leadership and frontline deal execution, informed by decades of navigating complex capital structures across property types, market cycles, and investor mandates.
